Charles David Spring 2017 Preview

These pink pair are from their sister line Charles by Charles David

Hello lovelies!
Today I went to the Charles David Spring 2017 Preview at their amazing showroom in uptown Manhattan. If you follow me on Intstagram (@City_laundry) you can tell I was super excited about this shoe line on my Instastories.

Charles David has been in the game for quite sometime now (since 1987!) and they went through a little reinventing over the years. I met the designers and congratulated them on such an amazing new collection. I honestly wanted every single pair! Everything from their use of colors, materials and unique designs was well thought out and beautifully executed. There is a shoe for every occasion and personally I'm still day dreaming about silver shoes in the first photo.
Do you have a favorite?

You're No Good For Me Baby, But I Want You..

HD-Footwear Catalani Boots
Vintage necklace

I can't get enough of pairing my favorite boots with my favorite dresses in the Fall.
This combo never fails especially when both pieces are statements all on their own.
I got this Lulus.com dress at their Style Studio during NYFW this past September and honestly that is one party I look forward to every season. They always showcase the best new fashion (at affordable prices) and also have the best sponsors in beauty products to show off ( NYX, LaQa and Co, Sigma..)! I have become a fan of the bell sleeve trend after wearing this dress, there something super romantic about them that I just LOVE.

And for the boots I'm wearing...  I'm excited to share these HD- Footwear boots with you because they are not what you would expect from the classic motorcycle brand Harley Davidson.
These boots have some serious style to them but also have that rebellious edge that we love from HD.
I cant wait to wear these with dark denim jeans so the light leather can really pop, now all I will need is a motorcycle and leather jacket!

Fall Favorites.

Agnes B.  "Alice" bucket bag
Dansko "Maria" booties

Yes! Finally Fall. My favorite season for fashion. I know you guys will read every other fashion blogger saying the same thing but really though... layering is everything!
I love transitioning some of my favorite Summer pieces (like this Agnes B. bucket bag) because even though the weather is starting to get cooler it doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to everything from the previous season.
Another plus of Fall? Boots! These booties from Dansko have been my go-to. Dansko is known for their comfortable clogs but also they are known for mixing style, comfort and amazing quality. If you know me and have been a follower of my blog for a while you know that I'm all about comfort first. Because honestly, if your not comfortable in what your wearing then you might not feel so confident. So if your in the market for comfortable Fall booties- these should definetly make your list! I have owned many clogs before but none of them compare to these! It's my first pair from this brand and I've become a big fan! It's no wonder that women have chosen to wear Dansko since the early 90's!

Cheers to a new season, until next time lovelies!

Exactly one week left of Summer!
Where did the time go, honestly mid September already!?
Here is one last Summer inspired look before I start working on some Fall looks for you guys.
So much has happened these past months it's hard to say what was my favorite (road tripping the west through 5 states was definetly a highlight!)

In Full Bloom

Sunglasses- Woodzee
Purse- Old Navy

There's only a couple weeks left of Summer and I'm trying to get as many wears as possible out of my new favorite kaftan. I recently was contacted by the lovely ladies at Kaftansbysilkandmore.com to style some dresses for a blog post and I couldn't have been happier.  Every kaftan you buy is personally made for you to your own measurements and that kind of attention to detail is hard to find these days. They have many different styles to choose from- everything from traditional to more contemporary like this off the shoulder number.

I would highly recommend check out the shop! If you are planing a little getaway or just want something comfortable and new make sure to check them out!

 Agnes b. bag

So I'm 100% percent sure I have found my favorite summer bag.
This bucket bag/back pack from Agnes B. has been my go-to because I can easily dress it up or down and it's in my favorite shade of pink! Bucket bags have been having there moment and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the perfect one, and I finally have! What do you guys think, have you tried out the trend?

Lately the summer has been getting to me (lots of beach time!)  and I haven't been updating my blog, but I'm trying my best to update my Instagram more often so please check out it here: @city_laundry!

Marble House Benefit

Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining The Marble House Project on the yearly benefit
in Dorset, Vermont. This year they went for an all white theme and as you can see I was able to wear this Balenciaga dress that I've had in my closet for a very long time. My boyfriend actually got this dress for me and even though I'm not one to go for a body-con dress this one seemed to suite me pretty well if I say so myself! With the grassy terrain I didn't want to wear fancy shoes that I would be upset if I got messed up so I decided to wear lace-up Zara shoes- talk about mixing high with low fashion!

If you guys are interested in learning more about The Marble House Project and their amazing art residencies please check them out here! The Marble House Project is run by a fantastic team that I have been honored to get to know them personally- so a big thank you to them for always being so hospitable!
